The SCI Pheasant Program

The pheasant-rearing program of the SCI Western & Central New York Chapter is right on schedule.  The birds are under the care of Mr. Jim Beitz and his helpers who feed, water and take excellent care of them.  This conservation program would not have happened without the help and perserverance of our senator, Mr. Dale Volker.

This year opening day will be October 18^th to November 14^th.  Dates to receive birds for release will be Friday, October 17^th, October 24^th and October 31^st at 8:00 a.m.  This year we have all new crates with an end door for better release of the pheasants.  The deposit on each crate will be $50.00 per, or bring your own.  (NO EXCEPTIONS)   No crate will leave without a deposit.

Fall is approaching quickly and will be here sooner than you think.  So, gather up your hunting gear and clean that weapon so you will be ready to go.
